Boxing Day Swim

26th December / West Bay Harbour Slipway

AKA The West Bay Wallow

Join in the fun with this Fancy Dress wallow. Watched from the relative warmth of the Harbour side by a crowd estimated to be over 3000 strong, this winter event is quite a spectacle and raises a good amount of money for numerous good causes.

Entrants (usually over 100 people) are invited to raise moneys for whom ever they wish, by embracing the refreshing waters of West Bay!

Please arrive in good time as West Bay is expected to be VERY busy!

Entrants sign in from 10.30 am / Start 12 noon SHARP!

Bridport Round Table will be collecting donations towards local charities on the day, so please give generously!

A bit more about this event

Started in 2004 and run in aid of CLIC SARGENT, Bridport Round Table inherited this event in 2007 and it has grown enormously in a short amount of time.

From humble beginnings with 10 entries [most of whom were press ganged the night before in the pub!] this event now boasts over 100 brave entrants who enter the near icy waters at West Bay for a charity of their own choice.

Over the years entrants have raised thousands of pounds for Schools, Clubs, St. Johns, Air Ambulance, Weldmar Hospice, CLIC Sargent and many other worthy causes.
